Brian K. Miller

With a Master’s Degree in Wildlife Ecology, I have been taking nature, wildlife and
travel images from around the world, including the United States, Canada, Russia,
South America, Mongolia, China, and Southeast Asia.  I have two picture books,
Birds of the Gulf Coast  (published by Louisiana State University Press in 2001),
and Louisiana Impressions (published by FarCountry Press in 2005).  Through my
photography, I use light, patterns, form, and personal vision in an attempt to
create images that demonstrate balance and beauty.  My photos have appeared
in numerous magazines, calendars, and books including National Wildlife, National
Geographic Traveler, Natural History, Wildlife Conservation, Brown Trout, and
Audubon.  National Geographic considered me one of “our
finest…photographers,” and I was a featured photographer in their book Heart of
a Nation: Writers and Photographers Inspired by the American Landscape.
